Where is A-Kon? - A-Kon 18 is being held in the Adam's Mark Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Contact the hotel for information on reservations and whatnot. Their address is: 400 North Olive Street

How to get to A-Kon -DART is the name of Dallas's Transit system, but remember! Dallas is not like other major cities It is HUGE. Public Transportation is slow and doesn't go everywhere. It IS possible to get from DFW International Airport to downtown, but expect roughly a 2 hour ride to the hotel. Use DART's trip planner to figure which route is the best choice for you.
Split the cost of using the SuperShuttle (972-615-9975) and go with some friends from airport to hotel.
Dallasites don't recommend you take a cab as it will cost you an arm and a leg. Just DRIVING from the airport to Downtown Dallas takes 2 hours without traffic!
If you can get a friend to pick you up, give them some gas money and go with that option. If you plan on visiting anywhere other than A-Kon while in Dallas, you NEED a car. Period.
Are YOU driving? Check out Google Maps. If you're not parking in the hotel, parking in Downtown can be up to $15. DO NOT leave anything valuable in your car while downtown. At night, break-ins are not uncommon!
